Newcomb Warehouse, Inc. is a family owned van/reefer carrier based in Muscatine, Iowa. We provide reliable transportation services across the U.S. Our goal is to ship our clients’ products to their respective destinations smoothly, safely and on time.
The company was started in 1994, although the Newcomb family has a long history in the trucking industry. Trucking in the family spans 4 generations dating back to 1928 when Willis Newcomb hauled the famous Muscatine Melons. When Willis’ son Floyd, Sr. returned from WWII, he eventually returned to his roots and started a Dump Truck business. Floyd, Jr. grew up and worked side by side with his father into the 70’s when he decided to enter into the Long Haul side of trucking. Floyd’s daughters Mandi, April and Nicole are now integral parts of the business along with his Son-in-Law Josh. We truly are family owned and operated.
Since inception, our goal has always been putting the customer first and treating our employees fairly. We believe that success is measured against customer and driver satisfaction.

Trucking
We currently dispatch 20 power units with a combination of van and reefer trailers. We transport general commodities and have 48 state authority. We also have Brokerage authority. Our main focus is Long Haul Trucking, with the West Coast being the most traveled area. We also frequent Florida, but we do not travel to the East Coast. Our fleet consists of late model Freightliner Cascadia & Coronado’s that are equipped with Detroit or Cummins Engines. Each truck is equipped with a refrigerator and inverter for our driver’s comfort. A tablet is also provided to every driver with the Fleetmatics software downloaded for convenient ELD entry.
Forced dispatch is not the way we do business. Our driver’s have the option to pull a van of a reefer and often have the option of which destination they would like to travel to. We also have a rider policy and are pet friendly. Health insurance, 401K and paid vacation are also provided. Join our family today!
Storage
Our facility occupies 17 acres of space with plenty of storage. We have indoor storage to cater to your boat and RV storage needs as well as outdoor rental spaces for drop trailers, campers and boats. We have various sizes of indoor storage available:

All units are equipped with 14’ high power doors with 24/7 remote access. Units are completely concreted with overhead lighting and electricity. We also provide pest control and security lighting. We are conveniently located off Highway 61 South. Long term rentals qualify for discounts.

Most of our drivers have worked with us for many years. We understand that we would not be a successful trucking company without the help of our drivers, and we appreciate each one of them. We know all of our drivers by name and you are not treated like a truck number, as most of the large companies do.
Supportive Work Environment
To become a qualified Newcomb driver, you must have at least two years of verifiable experience and Class A CDL. We demand safety from all of our drivers. They must help us work towards our slogan delivered on time. We are committed to excellence, therefore, we expect nothing less from our drivers. They must be able to take responsibility for their actions and decisions.
